People's War Guerrillas Raid Police Stations & Seize Arms
TURKISH REVOLUTIONARIES CELEBRATE 25TH ANNIVERSARY
In the first raid carried out on March 4, 1996 in Potkapally police station in Karimnagar district in the North Telengana guerrilla zone region, 21 rifles including 4 semi-automatic weapons and a revolver were seized. 30 guerrillas had participated in the raid.
On April 14 the second raid was carried out by 40 guerrillas in the Yellavaram police station in East Godavari district in North Andhra Pradesh, in which they seized 26 weapons including 6 semiautomatic ones. As the police personnel surrendered without much resistance there was no casualties on either side.
The third raid took place in the third week of September 1996 on Manpur police station in Rajnandgaon district in Madhya Pradesh which forms part of Dandakaranya Guerrilla Zone. The raid by 30 guerrillas seized 30 rifles including 10 semi-automatic SLRs.
In the fourth raid on November 15, a police station in Sirpur (Utnoor) in Adilabad district falling in North Telengana region was raided and 12 policemen who refused to surrender were annihilated. 17 rifles including 6 SLRs were taken away by the guerrillas.
Apart from these major raids, several 'sparrow' actions were conducted seizing another 20 weapons in 1996. The targets of these smaller actions were the bodyguards or gunmen of VIPs, individual policemen and feudals.
These raids were organized in order to arm the growing guerrilla forces of the Party as well as the people's militia. Also, coming as they are at the height of the police terror and a spate of fake encounter killings, these daring raids have given a fitting rebut to the government's campaign of brutal repression.
The Conference was inaugurated amidst profound zeal and enthusiasm after hoisting the red flag and paying revolutionary tributes to the great martyrs. Speeches highlighting the need to hold high the red banner based on "Marxism - Leninism and Mao Tse-tung Thought" were made.
After the inauguration, the main agenda of the Conference was taken up. On behalf of the out-going Central Committee, "Report on International and National Situation" and "Organisational Report" were placed for discussion. After thorough discussion the Conference adopted the documents. Particularly It was agreed that this age is the "era of total collapse of imperialism and worldwide victory of the proletariat" and that "Marxism - Leninism of this age is the Mao Tsetung Thought".
It may be recollected that despite different postures on certain key ideological and theoretical questions, the MCC has been leading armed people's war particularly in the Bihar province of India for the last thirty years. The unity talks for the merger of the MCC and the other revolutionary organisation of India, the CPI (M-L) (People's War) were recently called off. However, the two revolutionary Parties have in a joint public statement agreed " to continue the bilateral relations between the two parties in order to coordinate the All India Mass Organisations, to exchange our respective experience and literature and to render all possible help to each other".
The railroad of Mumia reflects the unjust and harsh treatment meted
out to the Blacks in the U.S. This also exposes how the political opponents,
particularly those who champion the causes of the weaker sections and exploited
masses, are mistreated and suppressed.
The RCP-USA and other revolutionary organisations and individuals have
launched a sustained campaign for the ultimate and speedy freedom of Mumia
Abu-Jamal. All the revolutionary forces and those opposed to U.S. imperialism
ought to raise their voices against this railroad and for Mumia's freedom.
We join our comrades in the U.S. and elsewhere to demand: Mumia Must Be
Free!
This year Turkish revolutionaries under the invincible banner of
Marxism - Leninism - Maoism are celebrating the 25th anniversary of founding
of their Party, TKP-ML, and also commemorating the 25th death anniversary
of their founder-leader, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya. Various programmes are said
to be organised year - round in different parts of Turkey and in Europe.
It may be recollected that amidst intense struggle against right revisionism Com. Kaypakkaya had led the communist revolutionaries along the path of people's war and laid the foundation of a Marxist - Leninist - Maoist Party in Turkey. Com. Kaypakkaya was soon captured and murdered by the fascist regime on May 18, 1973. As an outstanding leader of the international proletariat, Com. Kaypakkaya is widely respected by Marxist - Leninist - Maoist revolutionaries the world over. We join our Turkish comrades to pay our revolutionary homage to Com. Kaypakkaya.
