The U.S. Imperialism is the Biggest Merchant of
Terror and Weapons!
Dear Friends,
The
devastation caused by the U.S., first in Afghanistan and later in Iraq, has
amply proved that the U.S. is the biggest supplier of weapons and terror in the
world. It has unleased military campaign under the disguise of democracy and
human rights, to gain firm hold over the world so that whole of the globe could
be brought under its political, economic and military control. Those, which are
ready to be the faithful servant and partner in the bloody and murderous
operation of the U.S.- like the gang of dictator sultans of Arab world, Pervez
Mussaraf, the dictator of Pakistan and king
Gyanendra of Nepal etc.- all of them are its intimnate associates. But
those countries and organisations, which do not accept the hegemony of the
U.S., are branded axis of evil or terrorists by it shamelessly. North
Korea, Iran and Seria are some of the examples.
On the other
hand, in Nepal, by declaring open support to the medieval and autocratic
monarchy, and pledging to wipe out Maoists, the U.S. has once again proved
that, in the final, it always prefers to stand by the side of dictators, not
with the people. The single most reason for the termination of the peace talks,
which began between government and rebels following the cease-fire in January
this year, was the U.S.’s intervention. Establishment of a genuine democracy
and creation of a new constitution through the election of constituent assembly
were the main demands of rebels during the negotiation. But the monarchy turned
down the demand of constituent assembly, obviously under the behest of his
master, i.e. the U.S. The reason behind this denial is not difficult to
understand. On account of the atrocities and oppression perpetrated by the
monarchy on the people since last 200 years, it was almost certain that the
monarchy would have been wiped out in the election of constituent assembly.
Now, in order to make the monarchy more powerful, the U.S. is giving more and
more military and financial assistance to king Gyanendra open-handedly. Nepal,
though a small country in size, is geo-militarily important as it is situated
between India and China, the two big countries of South Asia. India and China
are emerging as powerful nations in the
world map. And, in future these countries can pose a serious challenge to the
U.S. The U.S. would never like this to happen. It is, therefore, planning to
establish military base in Nepal in the pretext of crushing Maoists whereby it
can keep an eye on India and encircle China. It would be unfortunate not only
for Nepal but for India as well if the
U.S. succeeds in its game plan.
No country in
the world today can achieve progress and prosperity without resisting the U.S.
imperialism. Neither it can defend its democracy, freedom, sovereignty and
honour. The fast approaching steps of the U.S. imperialism towards South Asia,
through Nepal, must be stopped by peoples’ resolute struggles. If we fail to do
so, the entire region would fall under the hegemony of the U.S., like in the past
when the British ruled the region for 180 years. So, in this critical juncture
of history the people of Nepal, India and entire South Asia ought to join and
carry forward the resolute struggle unitedly against the U.S. imperialism.
Build Solidarity with the Democratic Movement in
Nepal!
Drive out the U.S. Imperialism from Nepal!
Down with Monarchy!
Long Live Republic of Nepal!!
