12th of November, World people’s Resistance Movement has organised three
protest actions in front of the Indian Embassy and Consulate offices with the
demand of the immediate and unconditional release of Chandra Praksh Gajurel.
Gajurel Known as Comrade Gaurav is a Polit Bureau Member of the Communist Party
of Nepal. CPN (M) has leading the victorious People’s War since the 1996 for
the complete emancipation of the Nepalese people.
While
Gajurel was travelling to Europe to lobby the political solution in Nepal
during the cease-fire, on 20th of August 2003 he was arrested at
Chennai airport of India.
Long
detention of Com. Gajurel suggests that Indian government has been trying to
use as bargaining chips against the
defeated, isolated and murderous regime of Nepal, in order to attain resources of Nepal as in past.
That’s why the
progressive and democratic people of the world are demanding the release of the
Com. Gaurav.
Berlin: There was a colorful and loud
demonstration in front of Indian Embassy in Berlin. The People from broad
sector were participated. Various organisations and individuals have strongly
supported the demand of the release of Gajurel. At the programme leaflet was
read and slogans were chanted for his release and in support of the popular
struggle and against the imperialist intervention.
Hamburg: The protestors were gathered in
front of the Indian consulat office in Hamburg. Hamburg is a one of the biggest
city in Germany. Participants from Togo to Iran and Turkey to Peru, including
European supporters were demanded his immediate releas and departure of the US
imperialism from Nepal and South-Asia. Prof. Gilamni from Socialist Party of
Iran said his party is fully supporting the People’s War in Nepal and will
fight for the release Gajurel. A representative from WPRM Hamburg has provided
the information about Gajurel and the ongoing struggle in Nepal. The speaker
demanded his release. Thousands of leaflets were distributed.
Frankfurt: Another Protest action was took
place in front of the Indian consulate in Frankfurt on the same day. Several
protesters were demanded the release of Com.Gajurel. The banner and the
play-cards were more influencial. WPRM Frankfurt’s representative and a speaker
from Peru also demanded his release. If the Indian government does not release
they have to face more protest worldwide.
At the
programme General Secretary of the Internationalist Nepalese Solidarity Forum
(INSOF) Com. Humnath Dhakal provided the introduction of Com.Gajurel and the
actual situation of Nepalese struggle. He on behalf of WPRM and INSOF handed
over the letter to the Prime minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee through Consulat.
On the 18th of November WPRM (NRW) is planning to make a protest in Essen city of Germany in front of the Indian Consulat. Cpnmnews 15Nov.
